Tim Sauder
I was raised in a Christian home on a farm near Breslau Ontario. I was baptized after repentance at 16 years old and became a young leader both in the Church and high school youth for Christ. He took care of his grandmother who was a Godly woman who in her youth felt a call to Africa but married instead and promised god to work for missions at home. She did just that her whole life. She had a big influence on me growing up with her prayers. She died of old age at 91 the very day and hour I registered in Bible College.
During the four years of Bible School I felt that there was not enough power in my life. I prayed for more and one night I was filled with the Holy Spirit. It was all new to me and a few days later I was at First Mennonite Church where a Baptist minister are was sharing the same message that this was the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. I finished the four years of Bible school and went on to the new Oral Roberts University in Tulsa. It was there we learned so many new things. I had the privilege of knowing personally Oral Roberts and saw many other persons who are well known from the past. KathernKulman, Corrie Ten Boom, Johnny Cash etc.
Upon graduation from there I returned home. I was offered a position in the major Pentecostal Church in town, but turned it down because of my belief in the New Testament church model. After meeting two other men from two other churches we decided to start a Friday night youth ministry. We were given the Anglican Church building in the town of Kitchener Ontario Canada to use. The first night there was 30 people, the second there was 60 and the third 90 and so it grew to around 500 weekly. I was the main teacher. We had many leaders of that time come into our ministry including Derek Prince which is how I met him. I would say that I was discipled under his ministry and one of his main disciples later in Florida. In 1976 I went to India with Todd Burke a friend from ORU and we went into countries in the North of India such as Bhutan, Sikkim and Nepal as well as some areas of India.
I returned home to find that one of the team leaders was jealous of me and we parted ways. The story is long but let me say that God teaches us through our trials. He is the Disciple maker.
I have been on five church plants some of which failed.
I have been in a number of churches and even groups like the Seventh Day Adventist where I was baptized again in the name of Jesus by the oneness pastor there.
I have learned what I am teaching from seeing and having experience. You will not find too much theory here, but observation and experience. At my age God has told me to share that with others. I am not wanting to make anyone follow me only learn from my lessons and follow the Master Disciple maker Yahshua Jesus himself.
I believe the church is in a crisis and part of that is because of how it functions. We are offering an alternative which we believe the Lord is speaking to more people all the time. This is foundational Early church and also Anabaptist Mennonite principles which by the way they seldom follow in many of their groups.
WE are not a denomination but a federation with many different people who may have different experiences from the Lord. My personal beliefs are not the ones you should be made to follow, but a wise person listens to others. We should not all sing the same note or we would not have a song. We sing different notes in harmony.
